She’s brave enough to act on her attraction to this unusual male, Alek. it’s an intricate dance as they discover more about each other. Meanwhile, Alek has revealing memories to recover before there can be forward movement. I love watching his attitude change from his original, imperious behavior to one that shows care about the people around him. As for his relationship with Talia, this sums it up: “He suddenly didn’t care about being lord of winter as long as he was lord of her heart.â€And, of course, there’s cold, calculating, Dr Henrick to deal with. Excellent story! I’m ready for more ice dragons!
This is the first book in a new series by this Author.If you haven’t read a book by this author it would bea good time to start.Right from the first page of this book I was well and trulyamazed by the plot of this book.The chemistry between the characters is fantastic.I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that likeDragon romance books.
Terry, I. Have. Read. All of. Your. Different. Series. And. Have. Enjoyed. Everyone. If. Them. Thus. Far. I. Have. Missed your. Writings. It feels. Like. Forever since you wrote the last. Dragon series. I also. Appreciate that you. Are a diverse writer. I love to see that I'm being represented especially being a black women. Not all writers are consider other types of women. I'm a BBW and I'm proud of my curves. My mom also loves. Your. Awaken Dragon series. Maybe. One of the other 2 dragons will be. Good. For. Iris. I think her and chelle deserve one of them. I can't wait to read your next installment.
I've read just about every Terry book.. Dragons and Bears and Big Cats (Oh My!). What I love about this one is that the hero doesn't have to treat the heroine like a dish rag in order to get his awakening. He learns who he is by learning to value her, and valuing her and wanting to protect her helped him see himself more clearly. It's sweet as I like them. My little escape at the end of the day. I'm going to enjoy this series, I know it already.
Alek knows he's the Lord of Winter. He just doesn't remember much more than that. This is a wondrous tale of science vs. magic. When an ice dragon shifter emerges from the past and a modern, bright woman scientist, Talia, must take a leap of faith to accept Alek in all his glory. Their escapades along the way are entertaining, touching and genuine. The addition of Alek's friend's, Dmitri and Luka who are stalwart and loyal is heartening and that Talia also has two loyal and helpful friends is telling. I enjoyed the style of this book and look forward to more of the series.
As unreal as the opening to the story was the pace of the book was a little slow at first. It was also very convenient that the dragons had something they could trade for money and Talia was always able to clean up the messes - but it is a book. It is moving to learn and travel with Alek as he remembers his past and has to learn from and move forward from it. Alek and Talia make a great couple as both have changes to make in their person. I enjoyed and recommend this read.
Don't like this book as well as your other Dragon stories. What does this dragon know how to do to support himself? What a dumb fake name. Where did the mentor go? Did anyone notice all the activities around the lab? None of the undergraduates that helped are selling their story to the Enquire? There are way too many loose ends. I bought the second book at the same time, I hope there are some answers.....or is that for the third book?
I had a rough time starting this book. I kept falling asleep because it was boring at times. In a 20 chapter book, the bad guy should be present in more than 2 chapters. He shows up in chapter 18 and leaves in chapter 19. There was no good vs evil tension to keep you entertain and on the edge of your seat. This was a sweet love story but that's it. I like the characters and hope the rest of the series has more action.
