This book is a must read for every believer! My husband and I started studying the Hebrew roots of our Christian faith about two years ago. Learning about and following G-ds ancient paths has changed our faith and walk with G-d. G-d is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The Torah and His ancient paths given all of mankind in the Garden of Eden was never abolished by Jesus, a better translation would be to say he walked it out perfectly. He is the goal of the law. I purchased this book because I wanted to start keeping the Biblical Feasts. Since then I have read several books on the feasts and this book is by far the best and most thorough one. It's easy to understand so if your new to Yahweh's Feasts then this is an excellent book for you. It goes not just into the history of each feast but how it relates to Yahshua and our relationship with him. This book has really helped me to draw closer to Father Yahweh and His son Yahshua our Messiah!

It's a perfect segue. In Celebrating Jesus in the Biblical Feasts you have the opportunity to learn so many amazing things that continue to tie the Old Testament and the New Testament together. Christian beware, you may just be expanding your mind by reading this book. Quickly squash your immediate thought that you're not Jewish. It doesn't matter, the information in this book is relevant towards any Christian's sanctification. Jesus's ministry was constantly taking him from one Jewish holiday to another, and while there he would give them divine insight based upon what they knew...their customs. If we don't understand the customs, we don't get Jesus's full answers/sayings. Milk but no solids.
This book can be divided into 3 parts just like the three feast seasons. There's Passover, Pentecost, Tabernacles and Booker's research goes from Biblical exactness to Doctrine-based propaganda to Spiritualized nonsense. I was very impressed with Booker's "post-game analysis" of Passover as he asserts and gives verifiable evidence of Jesus' fulfillment of the Spring feasts of Passover, Unleavened bread, and First Fruits. He's well-researched and bible-founded. Even to the point of stating Jesus was crucified on Wednesday, April 26, 30 AD. His evidence is compelling and will challenge the Roman Catholic Easter heresy we've been force fed for hundreds of years.When it comes to Pentecost, Booker is square with the errant prone doctrine of the Pentecostal Church. He stays the party line in making the foundation of his argument Mark 16:9-22. I still found his presentation to be biblical-based but he misses key evidence in order not to challenge his own flawed doctrine. I found the work of J. William Rodman to be an excellent explanation of speaking in tongues. Dr. Rodman is a well-respected Pentecostal theologian.Finally, the Fall Feasts... Booker departs biblical exactness altogether. Chapters 6, 7, and 8 are little more than spiritualized fiction. Booker claims the Feast of Trumpets to be symbolic of spiritual warfare and draws the analogy to the battle of Jericho which was 7-days not 10. Booker offers no mention of the "10 Days of Awe." He instead seems to have just looked for the most prevalent trumpet reference he could find. He makes no mention of the Rapture whatsoever. He doesn't explain the 10 days from Trumpets to day of Atonement. He doesn't explain the 5 days between Atonement and Tabernacles. He doesn't explain the 7 days of Tabernacles nor the 8th day High Sabbath on Tishri 22nd.I have completed Dr. Bookers work with a biblically-based possibility. At least my theory can be biblically argued.Trumpets - Tishri 1st = 7th and final Trumpet (Revelation 11:15) Bowl/Vile Judgment 1Tishri 2-7 - Bowls 2-7Tishri 8 - Rev 16:18-21 & Zeph 1:17Tishri 9 - Rev 19:11-16 & Zeph 1:18Tishri 10 - Day of Atonement Revelation 20:4, Matthew 25:31-33 - Kol Nidre and the Ma'ariv ServiceTishri 11 - Shacharit ServiceTishri 12 - Musaf ServiceTishri 13 - Minchah ServiceTishri 14 - The Ne'ilah ServiceTishri 15 - Tabernacles begins - 7 days of celebration begins with Sukkah dwelling and Lulav parade into the Holy City.Tishri 16 - 21st - Lulav parades and Sukkot blessings each dayTishri 22 - Enter the millennial kingdom where Jews live, trib saints serve, and church reigns with Jesus.I am disappointed that Booker (who claims to spend Easter in the Holy Land every year) can continue in such ignorance of the very Jewish scriptures he portends to espouse.
This is one of the best books of describing the Feasts of the Lord. It explains their importance and relevance to the Christian faith and their relationship with Jesus. It also clears up a significant misunderstanding that these are not "Jewish" feasts, but rather Feasts of the Lord that were given to the Jewish people to take to the nations. I have given several copies away as gifts to pastors and lay people alike.
